I just learned about Jenn Chamipion and her new album Single Rider is pretty great. I look forward to hearing some of her older work.

Why is it that gift guides always have faux fur and aromatherapy items for “her”, but leather and technology items for “him”?

I was hoping that the Trump to end birthright citizenship story I saw this morning was not an actual thing but, it was on the local news just now and it is a thing. I am disappoint. I can’t believe that we have a president that is systematically dismantling what it is to be American under the guise of protecting America.

I want a more powerful tablet than my Amazon Fire with it’s severly crippled user experience. But, I am torn between an iPad which is the cheap option but, might be updated soon, and the Pixel Slate which is more computer than I really need. The iPad Pro is interesting and in the same category as the Pixel Slate: more than I really need. I guess I will continue to just want a tablet instead of buying a tablet. I know there will be Black Friday deals on iPads so, maybe a early Christmas gift for me.

When will the Pixel Slate be released? I really want to order mine now. Or at least spec it out and wish I could afford one. But, man, that’s a good looking device.

I like that the Magnum P.I. remake is using the original theme song.

Hey, look, Evernote updated the web app and now it looks like the desktop apps. Nice.

If you autohide the shelf on Chrome OS it will pop up when you mouse over it but, it will be slightly opaque and won’t shrink the window if you have an app full screen. It’s a nice touch. I like it.

I was excited about getting the Pixel 3 ealier this year. I was planning ways to justify the expense. But, staring at my Pixel 2 right now, I dont think I want a new phone. This one works just as well as when I first got it. Most of the exciting stuff in the Pixel 3 is software which should be coming to the Pixel 2 at some point. I dont think I will be upgrading this year. I don’t see a reason to upgrade jist for the sake of upgrading.

I triaged my Evernote Inbox this morning. I need to review the stuff I save in there on a more regular basis. I need to review the stuff I save everywhere on a more regular basis. I’m sure there are years old articles in my Instapaper. Confessions of a digital hoarder.
