Why has my Aeropress been so thin and watery lately? Is it the recipes that I’m using?

Normally I use 18-20 g coffee but, today’s recipe called for 12g. It also called for less water.

Still thin and not flavorful. Maybe it’s the beans. ☕️

Lazy mornings with a cup or three of good coffee, new music, and relaxing are the best mornings.

The Pixel Slate looks really, really good. I want one. I really, really want one.

From the Crunch newsletter is this gem of a link

The staff writers at the Atlantic have made a list of their top 100 articles and essays from 2017 that stand the test of time, and you should almost certainly read at least one.

Since when is one year a “test of time”?

Hobonichi Techo 2019 arrived today.

My Hobonichi got here today.

Jay-z ‘Big Bimpn’ might just be my favorite song from 1999.

I am afraid that in my middle aging I’m enjoying Pop music more because it makes me feel younger.

I used to hate Pop music when I was young but, now I enjoy the happy, mostly upbeat sound it has.

I still loath auto tuned rappers trying to sing though.

Worst part of any TV cooking show/video: when the host/cook tastes what they mde.

Of course they’re going to give it glowing reviews. They just showed you how to make their idea of the best X ever. If they tried it and were like, “Nope, this is horrible, don’t use this recipe.”, it wouldn’t be a cooking video/show.

YouTube suggested I watch a weather consipracy video about how one ionospheric heater is causing drought and fires in all of California.

I watched the trainwreck and couldn’t stop shaking my head. I am now a bobblehead.

I find it interesting that the tech press is lamenting that the Microsoft Surface event is just a hardware refresh while Apple pundits are begging Apple to release Macbooks that are just hardware refreshes.

My new motto:

My first response to this Boing Boing was ‘I guess I’ll never go to New Zealand now’. But, since everything important to me is in the “cloud”, I would be able to leave my devices at home and just buy a cheap laptop/tablet/phone if I visit.

The Walled Garden gives and The Walled Garden takes but, only The Walled Garden will know when it will do either.

No, you can not link your customers to help articles becuase they might buy your services somewhere else and we won’t make 30% of the sale. That’s not a good look for the world’s biggest company by market cap.

Spoiler Alert

How is it that the k cruiser is able to destroy Snoke’s ship and several Star Destroyers when jumping to Light Speed? If ships leave a trail when jumping to Light Speed, then wouldn’t all of the rebel fleet get destroyed when they jump in the same vicinity?

I’m pretty sure that Head Like an Orange is my favorite Tumblr blog. The GIFs he makes amazing GIFs like this European Common Frog staring into your soul.

Gruber is wrong. Wall Street Journal is right.

The more important information to Tim Cook’s Apple is “how much of each model are we selling?”, not “what is our ad campaign going to be?” An added bonus is simplified logistics. Do you really think the Supply Chain guy would prioritize marketing in deciding when/how to launch a product?

Analysing Comic book movies like their real world treatsies doesn’t sit right with me. I highly doubt that the film makers are making a statement about the current world. But, that’s just me.

I wonder how much the tech press plays a role in company troubles. Evernote seems to be having problems but, is that because they can’t sell people on the service or because the tech press keeps writing about their troubles?

I had absolutely no idea that Jay-Z and Linken Park actually performed their mash ups live but, there’s YouTube videos!
