A tiny screw shows why iPhones won’t be ‘assembled in U.S.A.’

When Apple has unrealistic expectations for their suppliers, namely 3 month supply of parts on hand with expectations that 3 months can be created in a month, it’s not hard to see why the United States can’t compete with China.

Lazy Saturday: watching figure skating and all I can think of is, “Toepick”.

Relentlessly lowering expectations

Raising our expectations is a fine way to raise performance as well.

Technically, 3 weeks is temporary. Just Saying.

Hey Feedbin users I have a question about the web app. Is there a way to activate keyboard shortcuts? Just a couple simple ones: J for next story, K for previous story.

I’ve never thought of pets in this way but Christopher Hitchens is correct.

Cats think they are gods and dogs think you are god.

Today I realized that my Fitbit has a stopwatch setting so I don’t have to use my phone to time my coffee Brew time (which I forget to do half of the time).

What I would do if I were in Congress and dealing with the shutdown:

Bring up the funding bills passed in December of 2018 every single day. No changes. Straight Up or Down vote.

Every.
Single.
Day.

Why would a monitor work with one input device but not three other input devices?

I’m not going to link to where this came from because it doesn’t really matter

Free as he is from honesty, decency, manners, moral scruples and any sense of good taste, Trump is able to move through our postmodern media landscape with the brutal straightforwardness and eye for a winning image of an older kind of strongman politician.

What matters is that there are people who see that Drumpf for what he is and do not care about what comes next.

John Wick Chapter 3 is coming this year!

Color me excited.

Seth Godin wrote about project metrics Wednesday and I think his advice can go beyond just metrics.

It’s worth finding your metrics.

It is worth finding your own goals, wishes, ideas, and thougths.

My general rule to sharing stories in Newsblur: If I can’t clearly write my summary or response in three attempts then I don’t share the article.

Sometimes support for Markdown makes me refresh a page 30 times in a minute while I edit and other times it just works.

One of the things I’ve always wondered:

Do other local news stations (outside of the US) love high speed pursuits as much as US local news stations?

Here’s some words of advice from FH

DOING THINGS CHANGES THINGS. DOING NOTHING LEAVES THINGS EXACTLY THE WAY THEY WERE.

Just going to think about that today.

Sourdough French Toast is a thing I made for dinner tonight. And it was good.

Holy moly this update to @Dialogue is awesome looking!

My one niggle with this move from iPhone to Android post by Fraser Speirs is about the fingerprint sensor

The placement of the fingerprint sensor on the back is weird to an iPhone user but it works OK - although it’s much less forgiving than Touch ID ever was.

That is not the case I’ve seen. My Pixel 2 unlocks with my fingerprint more often and faster than Touch ID on my iPhone 6S. I only have to enter my passcode after a restart on my Pixel 2. On the iPhone is multiple times a day.
