I had no idea that would cross people’s minds. Maybe I’m naive and NPR is just as bad as other large corporations and I’ve been blinded by their soft spoken announcers.
I like how the people who complain about digital assisstants not doing enough assisstant type stuff also seem to be the ones who are appalled that Google built the ability to schedule appointments over the phone into the Google Assistant.
I’m at jury duty today and there is an elderly white man wondering if people show up late because there was a line at 9 am and his summons was for 8 am. Apparently, he doesnt realize it takes time to process a few hundred potential jurors.

So many people are cynical about the partnership between NPR and Pocketcasts. I don’t see how it can turn into a collect all the data from users partnership but, I guess since a giant for profit corporation is involved (there isn’t one) it will happen at some point.
